Looks like Skip Mahaffey has found a new home? He was on the small 1450 wwjb am talker this morning.

Well, their website currently lists "The JB Morning Krewe" with "Bob, JR and Chuck" as "on air now".

Yet when you pass your mouse over the "on air" menu... the "Krewe" is nowhere to be found. Last-minute deal to get Skip?

And by the way... WWJB serves Hernando County; says so right on their website. One person's "small" is another person's "focus area".

The "small" WWJB is a heritage station that does local radio right. They have a decent size day signal covering Hernando, Pasco, and on a good day north Hillsborough (and obviously the nature coast). I wouldn't be surprised if he's simulcast on WXJB too. Considering the demographics of the station's coverage area, and who Skip reached in all of his years at QYK and FUS, this would be a good deal for both sides if it is indeed true.

What happened to the fabulous Tan-Talk gig?

Rumor is Skip was filling in for Bob Haa. I guess the two articles in the Times since he came back are getting the word out... better than the Tan Talk network?!? ;)
