Skip time in South MS

Golden Boy already touched on it in Zach's WAFR thread, but I just want to give thanks and a tip-o-the-hat to the giant reflective-metal alien spaceship that must have been hovering over the East Coast this afternoon.

Xelnor, your ship allowed me to hear some wild skip while driving up to Jackson from Baton Rouge. I knew something was up when the scan stopped on 102.1 WMXT Fredericksburg, SC while I was on I-12. Thanks to them being the "Pee Dee's Rock Station" I now know what a "Pee Dee" is. Uh huh.

Nabbed 96.1 from Virginia Beach (actually on the East Bay); they rocked pretty hard. But the best grab was 93.3 out of Frederickburg, VA, thanks to them -- and apparently nobody else around central MS :-( -- I had clean NASCAR reception all the way into Jackson.

I'd like to log some West Coast skip, do you think you could hover your ship around, say, Roswell, NM next time? Wait... what?

I don't know why exactly but that region has always been a miss for me. Except for a freak incident of strong thunderstorms that I happened to be caught in once many years ago, I've never gotten DX from the New England / Atlantic States region, except for GA and SC. Most of my luck has been the upper midwest, Texas and Louisiana and NE Mexico.
