SKIPPER THOMAS....

Skipper

You stated in your thread below about the possibility of TOC moving yet another FM.

I checked a little bit via Radio-Locator and the only other TOC FM I could find is WYFX Mount Vernon IN.

Is this the one you are refering to?

And how would they move this one with a class B 106.5 already existing in Washington? Certainly couldn't stay on 106.7.

Good fair question.......Hummm? Who owns Washington? And, what is the window on 106.5's tower location??? Time will tell...... More on that at a more oppor-tune-time.... "Skip"

Ooh, ooh, let me!

WWBL is owned by The Original Company, Inc. They are the only 106.5 in Indiana (in fact, the nearest 106.5 I see is in St. Louis). The only first adjacents are 106.7 WYFX and WTLC. Nearest 2nd Adjacent is 106.1 in Evansville.

However, a COL change is unlikely -- there aren't that many towns in that part of Indiana.

Yep....I have seen the possible data that meets conservative engineering specs...It is possible, if 106.5 moves a little to the north of Washington....The Mt.Vernon change would be small in terms of distance from the current site, but would give it a clear line-of-site into the population without the second adjacent being overlapped with 106.1 in Newburgh....The key is looking at what 107.1 did a couple of years back from the Boonville side of the market....Suprise to me that 107.1's DA still gets the weak side into Owensboro as good as it does....
