SKYPE FOR REMOTES

The VX or HR line is typically what is sold with Radio Automation. It is uncommon for a vendor to try to sell you a PCX based system, due to additional cost.

And not to get too far off topic, onboard sound is just fine for Skype remotes with a match box in line. However, if you have to buy the match box, you should probably just go for the VX222 or VX222e (depending on how modern your motherboard is). It is about $330 from BSW and is my card of choice for Adobe Audition for the studios.

Oh sheesh, I didn't think to mention (the whole point of this thread if I remember correctly)...I've been searching high & low (& ground) (pun) for an inexpensive sound card with balanced +4 ins/outs. I finally found this one:

The Echo MiaMIDI. It used be called just the Echo Mia. The MiaMIDI is the newer model.

And best of all: it's only about $120.00...!!! =-)
