Slam Duncan

Slam Duncan who was on the Cledus T Party on 94.9 the Bull is now on afternoons,I think Lance Houston is now on mid-days. I wounder if Cledus needs anothe person on the morning show.

It was probably done to put more of a focus on just Cledus and Kristen in the morning, rather than for all 3 of them trying for mic time, so my guess is that they'll probably stick with the morning show as it is now, Cledus, Kristen and producer Todd Veal.
Doesn't matter anyway according to some "experts" on this board, now that Braves baseball is done, so too will be the Bull.

Actually I think Slam's mid-day show had the highest ratings on the station, so they probably moved him to the afternoons to try and pick up some afternoon drive-time numbers.

Is this the same guy who used to be on WRVQ in Richmond?

After a couple of weeks on PM drive, I have to say I really like the change. Slam has an energy and enthusiasm about him that's not overbearing. He is engaging the audience to participate in the show, and even chats a couple times an hour with Art "Mad Man" Mehring before the traffic segments. All in all I'd say Slam is doing a great job in that slot for the Bull.

I don't know that answer, but Slam Duncan does voicetrack a shift at WSIX-FM, The Big 98, in Nashville. In fact, I think he used to do middays live on WSIX before moving to The Bull.

Just FYI...Slam did 7p-12m on WSIX before moving to the Bull in Atlanta:
still VT's mid-days on the Bull in Roanoke...and 7p-12m on WSIX.
IIRC...Slam's also involved with the Braves network. Sleep is not an option.

slam duncan was a name somebody used on WRVQ, a CHR station in Richmond, back before VT'ing.------like in the late 70"s?

He's not involved with the Braves Radio Network. He's the plaza announcer for the Braves at Turner Field.

There was a "Slam Duncan" at Power99, also.
Great air names on that station: Domino, Shotgun Sean Demory, Fast Freddie Luca, Johnny Dark, and of course Don Lardo.

Bill "Slam" Duncan did work at WARM-FM "Power 99" back in 1986-87, among other Atlanta radio stations, before he died in 2007, his last Atlanta gig was doing overnights on B98.5. Bill was not in good health, and passed away from complications from diabetes in April of 2007. I met him back in 1993 when a friend of mine was working security at White Columns and developed a friendship. Bill was a great broadcaster, and a great man I hated to see him pass at such a relatively young age (54).

The Slam Duncan that most on here are referring too is still on the air on the Bull in the afternoons. He still does the Bull in Roanoke Virginia and WSIX in Nashville.
