Slats back on the air in Orlando, doing weekends at 'JRR.

Slats is back on the air, at WJRR on the weekends at least. All Access reports he's working at the Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando in some capacity as well. He's left an afternoon gig in Cleveland to take the golf job and spot down here with Clear Channel.
 
Maybe the thinking is he can eventually slide into that voicetracked Buckethead PM drive slot. However, the way things are going for Bucket in Tampa, he may wanna hold onto that JRR afternoon gig for job security. By the way, not sure how much of a golf pro Slats is... I hope he plays better than he talks based on that attempt at sports talk he did years ago on 540 The Team. Having 1 "shot doctor" is enough... and even sometimes, that's too much.
 
i must have missed something, whats wrong with buckethead in Tampa? He is the only guy doing anything other than talking about himself every break ( MJ ) or doing nothing at all ( everybody else )
 
Oh come on! Don't you wan't "Short Doctor" on all the time. Just think he could get his own XM Channel and CC could put him on a HD station! ???

Say what you want, but Shot is the best radio guy in the building, because he DOESN'T take himself seriously
he racks himself.....he gets the laughs....i mean really, nobody would put themselves out there
like that because of ego problems........SHOT RIPS HIMSELF..........treasure him, cause when he leaves, it's gonna be a bunch of " look at me, i am so smart " asswipes....keep going SHOT!
 
Slats was only doing sportstalk with Greg Warmoth in order to serve out a 1 year non compete from then rock WDIZ. Then was to do pm drive on 'JRR. But left for afternoons at KISS in San Antonio. BTW, Shot is awesome. Who wants to listen to sportstalk from blowhards who never played a sport.
