Slight Cumulus Cut in DFW

Appears that Wolf has decided to dump having a traffic guy in the morning and going for the news guy to do it every morning. Also cutting back part time hours and there are a couple of promo dir/co-ordinators that have left that won't be replaced... Trim, Trim, Trim.
 
How do you know this? Was Chris Sommer doing traffic AND news this morning? Also where exactly does the trimming stop at Cumulus, and in radio in general. Looks like radio's going the way of a 'high-powered ipod' -- wow, aint that exciting!!
 
And....directly from the mouth of Jan Jeffries... The last he wanted to was to make the wolf sound like a ipod with tower. Appears to be heading more and more that direction.

Too bad for RussP. He's a good guy caught in a bad situation.

I never understood the economics of paying a guy thousands of dollars a year to work 2 or 3 minutes (TOPS!!!) an hour.

Maybe if you're a top 5 station, and having the billing to back that up, okay. But as far as the Wolf has fallen?
