And once again, I remain consistent!
Anyway, it's been enough time for me to see the changes unfold completely and judge the entire situation a bit better now. I must say that I actually do like it more with SOME recurrents thrown in. Not to the point where they sound like they are in 2005, but just enough that it makes, ...well, sense. It sounds more normal, even though I did enjoy the pure new music they were pumping before. However, I do have to say that the heavy recurrents are a little too predictable. I've come to expect
Party Up - DMX
Try Again - Aaliyah
Knockin Boots - Candyman
Still not a player - Big Pun
Along with some things from Dr Dre & Snoop or Nelly. Hearing some Selena is in some ways refreshing though.
The new imaging sounds appropriate, and I like the "Ciento uno punto cinco / 101.5" thing they have going on because it is a smart move, especially for their type of format and demographics. The guy who makes the dumb jokes liners, well, he's alright, but whether or not "his" or that/those specific promos are kept, I really don't care either way. Overall, ciento uno punto cinco still sounds pretty good, despite the fact that I think a little more "musical creativity" and swiftness on at least the new music adds that are almost guaranteed to work would be nice if worked into station programming. I also do wish "opposite of adults" by Chiddy Bang could at least get some mixshow play. It's about time more people use the MGMT sound. Hmmm... and maybe the new Richard Vission ft Static Revenger may eventually be added in to regular playlist...??? Looks like that's becoming a hit.... Anyway, I really don't have much more to say. So far, the current KZON keeps me coming back. I've tried to stray away, but then I always end up hearing something elsewhere that makes me tune right back over to KZON (in regards to the rhythmic hit music side of things of course, I don't expect KPKX, KMXP, KTAR, or KDKB to sound like KZON).

Also, as I've (amongst a few others) have been saying in the chr mainstream pop section, I'm so glad that true quality and creativity has once again made its way back into mainstream hits today. Everything from more lyrical quality to more creative melodic arrangements rather than everyone watering down their sound and "hardening" their lyrics to be as gangsta as they can be as an attempt to make it big. I think musically, the near future is looking brighter, and it's once again back to just having passionate fun with music, not about being the hardest mc or the one that people want to "mess with" the least. I'm also glad that "talking about nothing" is no longer in. Hit music; It's getting better. Even the AC's are "having a hard time keeping out the new currents"! This is another reason why I've been loving CHR lately.
