Slightly off topic: Catch 47

I know this isn't a TV board, but I've been wondering about the cable channel 47 on BrightHouse. Is it run by them, like Bay News 9, or is it an over-the air LPTV, or a leased channel?

Just curious.<P ID="signature">______________

It is a cable only channel owned by Bright House Networks. It is managed by Bay News 9 but operates from a seperate facility (the old Bay News 9 studio in Pinellas Park). Catch 47 recently went all-sports 24/7, no more odd shows or infomercials. Their big "catch" recently was USF/Big East sports.

There is a certain amount of automation to it. Twice during football season the Big East Game of the Week ran past its alloted 3 1/2 hour time limit.... which other programming automatically took over. with the game still in progress.

However, with the increased interest of USF football and basketball..um..well, football anyway, it is a nice 'catch' since none of the over the air tv stations wish to air Bulls sports on a regular basis.

Since Radio-Info.com has no TV board (yet) for Tampa Bay or all of Florida, I feel this topic is appropriate on this board.
