SLY .... welcome back!!!

Other than Larry ... not sure people will appreciate the significance of the walk-on the Grammy's by Sly Stone during his tribute/reunion segment. The man has been dodging the public eye for nearly twenty years (some even thought he was dead).

The man sure gave us some amazing, innovative music -- most of those "hits" even stand up today with pretty regular visibility on KBSG. Still a shame, though, that we tend to overplay the daylights out of one or two signature songs by some of these artists and miss many of the other hits that were just as strong because people like Mike McVay insist "they just don't test well".

Too %%%ing bad....they're still examples of dang good music!

It's a damn shame what drugs can do to the talents of a genius. But...when Sly was on his game he was the best ever.

Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin

I LOVE Sly and The Family Stone. My wife had the show on DVR and I just saw it.

You're right about Sly Stone's hermit like absence from the pop world. Even I thought he was dead.

Welcome back Sly...the world needs you now more than ever.
