Small Speakers

Looking for some suggestions on a small set of speakers (say in the less than 10" x 8" range) with accurate, open sound--none of those 'it sounds like there's a blanket over the tweeters' types need apply. Not looking for active speakers...have my own amplifier. I have a subwoofer that can be dialed in to make up for any lack of bottom end, but in the interest of flat response, would prefer speakers that do the whole job themselves. For a small sized production room.
