Smart radio people, answer this question

What are some sites that lists radio stations for sale? Also, where do you go to check if a station has FCC approval to sell a station, if that is needed? If a station is being sold, where would that be listed? Or, if any upgrades for a station are made, where could that be found?

I'm neither smart nor in radio, but I'll try answering your question.

There are radio station brokers. Try Googling them and see what happens. I would bet that one or more of them has a list of stations for sale online.

As for the other stuff, try fcc.gov. Get to the site map, and you'll see links for AM Query, FM Query and TV Query. (Yeah, I thought of that joke, too.) The FCC is a little slow to update information, but eventually it appears.

Usually fcc.gov is a reliable source. I usually talk with brokers. In addition to information I get better gossip.

I'd just like to point out that one could be relatively stupid and still know the answer to this question. Thank you.
