Smerconish Syndication Issues?

Read an item that WOR in New York is going to drop Michael Smerconish next year, partly due to the show changing its syndication method at that point. So this means they're parting ways with Dial Global, and I guess he's going to self-syndicate his show now?

I'm going to guess he'll just give up on syndication altogether if he loses Dial. It's not like he's been very successful with it.

Maybe WOR can't afford/doesn't want to spring for whatever new equipment they'd need for the change.
Maybe the new setup requires paper clips and baling wire?

I don't think of WOR as cheap...why do you say that? do they have a history of this?

It's hard to be a credible "Conservative" talk show host when you supported Barack Obama in 2008, and worked for former Senator Arlen Specter (now officially a Democrat). He's not foolling anyone.

He positions himself as independent. Not trying to fool anyone. Actually, compared to the talking point readers, it's refreshing.

Lou Dobbs always claimed he was "Mr. Independent" - and look where that got him [impending cancellation].
