Smoakie GONE

I had heard he was on suspension. I don't know if they let him go for sure or not.
 
Kinda wild! Probaley not gone, considering, at least my impression is that David is the centerpiece of 92.1. But,
at least the book is over. I mean, if you gotta be suspended....in regards to bonuses...etc, etc.

I wonder what he did to get suspended/canned??? It had to be something HUGE I'd think....I can't imagine management wanting to lose the $$$ Smoak brought in unless he REALLLLY rubbed someone the wrong way. I haven't seen anything at tylerpaper.com
 
A personal note...
I have officially resigned as the Sports Director and Talk Host at KTBB Radio.

These past 19 1/2-years have been the most enjoyable of my nearly three-decade long career in radio and television.

I leave with great memories from blue chips to state championships, and knowing I have done everything possible to promote your team, program, fans, and student-athletes.

Sometimes in life it's important for all of us to stop and reorganize our priorities, relive the fundamentals of life, and smell the roses.

Through these changes, Smoaky.com will continue on with the coverage you've always expected.

Well, I'll tell ya one thing...

Whenever I'm in need of a good laugh, I never hesitate to check the political forum on smoaky.com. (And I ain't laughin' WITH 'em!)
 
Whenever I need a good laugh, I listen to Ms. Kiser filling in as a sidekick on Sportstalk. It my be the worst since Marconi invented the medium.
 
Miss Kiser can barely do news, much less sports. This sounds like a Cooke/Gleiser collaboration.,ie something else that will fail. Let Coates do his thing and let him do it alone. This is just another thing in a series of events that points to the demise of Gleiser Communications. Just a matter of time.
 
Well boys and girls the word on the street is that good buddy smoaky got caught with his hand in the Gleiser cookie jar and that is why he is no longer with the company.

it's about time someone spoke up about the real reason David is no longer on KTBB. I hear it's only a matter of time before he is arrested and tossed in the back of a Tyler cop car
 
Think about it guys......why get rid of your cash cow in today's economy especially in the East Texas radio market where dj's are dropping like flies. It's the same thing that has been getting radio jocks in trouble for generations no matter what rung of the broadcasting ladder their on. Yep....you guessed it.......the same two sins that in the end will take a brother down past,present and future........$$$$$$ and women.
