Smooth Jazz 106.5

Its comming in very clear for me hear in Delhi I hope I can keep hold of the signal Because I love smooth jazz and not that damn country music on 106.5 in kentucky. We have enough country music stations I dont want to hear another one.

Don't try to make friends with me...

I would hope that somewhere down the line, a jazz format would resurface here. WCIN tries with Wilbert Longmire on Saturday afternoons, and the weekday Morning Buffet, but I would like more hours of jazz.

Can hear in Muncie when visiting there but not NE Ohio where I am. Heard the station's a goner for local stuff. Whole air staff out. SJ Network on fulltime. You can hear the promos. Even overnites and weekends on network. Website is out of date so don't go by that. Nothing dated past mid October on it. Long gone personalties still listed.

I'm not sure about the rest of the staff, but Bob Sweeney is gone from mornings. The syndicated Ramsey Lewis has replaced him.

Listening to stream, heard promo for Dave Koz starting Monday Dec. 4 for afternoons 3 to 7. Isn't that Butch Browns' show? Only knew of Bob Sweeney and Ryan Phillips the night guy but both gone unless they do weekends only now. Annie Ashe is in Ryan slot. Thought I heard a female was joining mid day and the one there now is not female. And Raven, a male is overnight on the network but not sure on sj 1065. I heard the network is all set now..weekends with Brian Culbertson, Kenny g, Norman Brown and Paul Hardcastle and Raven weekends too. Mon. Fri all set too for sometime in January. Now is the time for all Gms to sit down and look where they can make cuts in sj. All they have to do is flick on the sat. Don't need no pd unless borrowed from antoher station. So any naysayers in format badmouthin the music bow down, you can now be replaced. They fixed it. Feel sorry for those in the format now if not performing well. Can't imagine what its like to be replaced by artists that you liked. Can all the fired morning djs still listen to Ramsey music? Will the ones being fired in afternoons be able to listen to Koz anymore?

It's not just SJ that's taking a hit with personnel cuts in dayton, it's happening in the entire cluster. Long time WLQT morning host Paul Ellis was cut not long ago.
