Smooth Jazz 95.7

Where are they now? Smooth Jazz 95.7 was great! What happened to the voices of Donna Franklin, Quinn Dalton, Craig Morgan, Donna McKenzie, Chuck Tiller, and all the other great on air talents of Smooth Jazz 95.7?

The Wave has been gone since March, replaced with CHR Hot 95.7. Though I did enjoy SJ, the saturation of light AC and stuff that had nothing to do with SJ, ie The Police, Journey, Des're, ect, ruined the format. There are still many great SJ artists and other forms that would have complimented the format as opposed to playing the tired out Kenny G and Spyra Gyra tunes, and the countless new vocal remakes Motown had forced Michael McDonald to record, et al.

Not a big fan of Hot, then again I'm not a big fan of top 40. But like I said before, if I had to choose, I would still go for KRBE. I just wished they flipped it to active rock instead.

Smooth Jazz is now on KODA HD-2.

Back to the question, 'where are they now?' Donna McKenzie continues to do voice work around the nation. She's taking a breather before deciding if she ever goes back on the air. Quinn Dalton has his own production company. Donna Franklin is doing some free lance work. I'm hoping she will get back on the air. I heard from Greg Morgan and he is working, but not in radio. He did mention he was happy. And me? I'm just hanging around.
