Smooth Jazz on KEOM

When I ran out to get lunch today I was scanning the dial while at the drive thru at Arby's... when I got to KEOM 88.5 they were playing smooth jazz. Is this a format shift or just a smooth jazz program? It was right before they broke for TSN News at 12:55.

That's just a musical interlude (instrumental) in order to hit the mark for TSN News. Remember, "We still love our 70s!"

They always do this at the end of every hour before the news. Don't get your hopes up.

they have been doing that for years. they always back time up to TSN.

One thing I forgot to add, KEOM is now competing with KLUV

Here we go again with the smooth jazz thing. ::)

People can forget about bringing back the smooth jazz format because it will never happen.

Yep, that's right. It will never happen.
AND Muss Rartin will never be back on again, either.

I'd like to know the same thing. as far as I've know KEOM has been 70's.
Could be because KEOM has branched out a bit to the 60's and 80's.

You forgot the HD-2 signal, still oldies (50s/60s)

For listeners? ...maybe. For revenue? ...um, not so much!
imho, I would say KLUV is now competing with KEOM.
They haven't changed what they are doing as much as KLUV has.

Bingo.

That sure makes back-timing easier! :)

Backtiming ...

Too much math, man.

Anybody notice KEOM played 50's and early to mid 60's songs early this morning?

All I heard was dead air, all night, from about 12 midnight until I set the alarm clock at 6 this morning.
