Yea, just listened to the launch on TuneIn via my IPad!!! They are playing Basia "Cruisin for Bruisin" right now.....
Nice song! Sources tell me it'll be locally programmed and sound a lot like Jones used to sound.
Their website is very basic right now, but their Facebook page says this in the "about" column: "A brand new radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico playing a wonderful selection of contemporary jazz, chill, new age and Latin guitar! Welcome to Paradise!"

This is the best music I have heard of our format, on the FM Radio, in a long time. I have heard songs I haven't heard in years. The only problems I have, are only minor, I hope they continue to work on the site, I understand they are a new station, 
I mean in the future. I would also like to see a What's Playing Now feature, I have a few songs I never heard of on KOAZ and would like to know, who's playing. 8)

Are you involved somehow? Someone either associated with Jones or had worked with them must be behind it. I haven't heard a bad tune played yet. EDIT: just looked at their Facebook page and saw Laurie Cobb's name mentioned....

Definitely blows that Kepler based "Smooth" crap out of the water.
steve hibbard the former jones OM programs it, hence the reason why it sounds like jones (and why it sounds so good!)
the oasis is the best presentation musically of the format i've heard in years. i like it even better than XM watercolors. i really wish them well and hope this takes off in ABQ.
i'm sure the david eduardos of the world will disagree with this assertion, but if more smooth jazz stations sounded like this, this format would still be alive and well nationally.
