Smooth Jazz Returns to Phoenix Radio (Kinda)

Probably a smart move, even if it turns out to be the lame BA feed. The Adult Standards format is pretty much over as listeners have aged beyond any advertiser interest, and on top of that the format was diluted with soft AC songs in much the same way as the BA product. The result: today, KOY delivers only a 0.3 12+ share. KOY, while only 1000 watts fulltime on 1230, actually does a pretty good job of covering the market. It will be interesting to follow how they do going forward. Just for fun, read this: http://www.am1230koy.com/pages/history.html KOY was a monster full service station on 550 for many good years.

Seems like Adult Standards and Smooth Jazz are gone for KOY, replaced by "financial".

BA only has a few stations left. I'm really surprised we even have BA in our area (on KZIZ-1560 am). Defunct soon?
