Smooth R&B and Classic Oldies Has Invaded Smalltown Demopolis Alabama

That's right Urban posters. WZNJ (Z 106.5) in Demopolis Alabama is now representing West Alabama with Smooth R&B and Classic Oldies. They made this change, sometime last week. Caught the change Sunday night.

Demopolis is located inbetween Selma Alabama and Meridian Mississippi, on U.S. Highway 80.

This station has been playing the usual stuff, that most Adult Urban stations play. I have heard, Mariah Carey (With J.D. on one song, she does, from her lateset CD), R. Kelly, Beyonce w/Jay Z, Jagged Edge, the late Lou Rawls, the late Luther Vandross and Kirk Franklin, on here.

There are many other singers and groups, I have heard but they are too numerous to list here.

I believe this station switched to R&B to compensate the loss of WSLY 104.9 in the York Alabama/Meridian Mississippi area, which recently switched to Jack FM.
