Snap 94.1 WSNA Memphis

Just wondering if anyone else has heard this station? You can listen online at www.snap941.com. I hadn't even realized that this station (formerly "94.1 the Buzz") had flipped to rhythmic AC late last year. Anyway, I was listening and I have really been blown away by how great this station sounds. The music is really upbeat and fun with a mostly 80's and 90's rhythmic/dance focus. I was actually surprised that it is really "pop" sounding and fun, considering Memphis is usually such a heavily urban/r&b focused market. This station is certainly a welcome breeze in a market that I usually hate.

But anyway, musically, they are really fun and have one of the best mixes of music I've heard on a rhythmic AC yet. Also, they use my all time favorite voice over guy, Mark Driscoll, for the station sweepers. And they have a good jingle package as well. I'm not sure who is programming this outlet, but they've certainly got my kudos. If you like the rhythmic AC format, I would definately reccomend listening online and checking them out. They blow the "Movin" stations out of the water and are 100 times better than any of those.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has heard this station and what you think about it? I've been listening constantly online lately myself.

I like the station but I don't think it will be around for much longer. Snap has a 1.0
I also think Kim will change also. Both stations tied for last place.

Thats not saying much for the other stations

the playlist is narrow and gets burned out very quickly...

you can just only stand ice ice baby and bad girls so many times in a week

I agree with Michael, the burn in that format is horrible. Great concept and 'SNA- Memphis does sound good, but in order for Rhythmic AC stations across the country to survive and get out of that lower tier of stations in their respective markets, they are going to have to constantly recreate themselves and challenge their music directors (or the PD) to try different approaches with the music flow- can't just let Selector throw together those playlist..

A couple month ago while in Dallas I heard Movin' 107.5 play Regulate by Warren G 3 times between Friday and Sunday. That was just times I happened to be in the car with 107.5 on. I surfed all the stations while there so I wonder how many times i missed the song.
