Good then you won't be disappointed with repetition - over and over. The morning playlist repeated during the afternoon etc.

Depends on if the sale is final and if their allowed to make changes durning that phase, sometimes they will LMA and change format's instantly other times it takes longer (actually have to have the keys and license in their hands before they can kick the previous owners out)

I dont see why you dislike the bridge taht much, last i heard it in 2001 (it sounded good minus the preaching block they where at that time doing in the mornings which I didnt like)

Im not a big fan of Klove, its very canned and automated, but if you want "positive and encourging" same 50 Adult Woman tested songs over and over... Klove is the place.. I rather have a locally programed Christian station SERVING the community, EMF could care less about Baton Rouge, or having concerts or events there...
______________

There's a joke in my area that everyone laughs about, they know the next song and have turned off the station and switched due to the repetition- sure currents are repeated but what about repeating the entire playlist 3 or 4 times a day not just the currents. Repeating the currents with different music is totally acceptable, repeating the entire block with no changes is boring. You will find out, as I said talk to us in a year - oh yea and when they are repeated it's real professional when the last word of a sentence is cut off as they are talking :)

a few things you should know about bethany. the owners of wqck.

1. if you work there they take 10 percent of your check for tithes..straight out of your check!

2. you have to go to bethany to work at wqck.

3. you have to be in a cell group.

this is just some of the communism going on there. klove will be a much welcomed relief to their nazi rezhime..
______________

When I heard they where just getting ready to move the talk to day so they could go rock at nights for the teens/young adults... ofcourse as you said, that didn't last long, they moved the talk and went only a/c.

I am sorry you have a dislike for "the bridge" hopefully K-Love fills your needs. (Each is to their own, personally I am not a fan of it)

> Ok lets talk about K-Love or as we like to call it K-CHannel or Clear-Love. In some markets they are great (where a Christian Station is needed) where it is not all they wind up doing is chocking the current Christian Local stations. With the K-Love monster pledge drives they wind up hurting the smaller Christian stations that are spreading the word. Thats what it is all about reaching out spreading God's love and word. By hurting the local Christian Stations they cause the locals to either close down or to sell out. When it c=omes to their playlist your right about repetition of currents yes that is current radio. But when the song is not a current like Butterfly Kisses (played over and over and Chris Rice with The Cartoon Song, that does not apply these are not currents but get played as often as some of the currents. When it comes to technical errors they do have a few, yes they do cut off there feeds with local tracks, due to there outdated equipment ( but then who doesn't have outdated stuff in the Christian Radio World). I have heard rumors that they will be doing something to remedy those problems. The biggest problem I have with K-Love is there attitude that K-Love ( and let's not forget Air-1) that they are the only ones that can do Christian Radio right and that they should be they only ones doing it. Take there attitude latley with Translators and Low Power Fm Stations. There is legislation with the FCC that would allow LPFM stations to have priority over translators. So what this means is if someone wanted to start a Local Low Power FM station on a translator that]K-Love or another station was using, the Local LPFM which would provide Local Community Programming, would be able to take over that Translator Frequeny and K-Love or whoever would have to vacat that translator. K-Love has told all their employees to be against this along with being against LPFM. Over 60% of LPFM and future ones are going to be Christian, God's Word. With K-LOve taking this position, do they really have Spreading The Word in mine or do they just want to Spread The K-Love Word. K-Loves Regional Reps are the only contact that churches and communities have with their station. The Regional Reps job is to stay in touch with the local community. Here's a good example of their focus on the community. Take for instant you are planning a local event maybe some local bands ect. Lets say you do this at the same time some big Regioal event is going on, with natioanwide acts. whe do you think your K-Love Rep will be.....your right......at the Regional event. There is no community focus, even though they say there is. In closing here is another rule you will like.... if K-Love has purchased or done a LMA on a station, they have a goal this station must support itself within 5 years, if it doesn't then they will either sell it or not renew the LMA. Now I know this might be smart business but is it a ministry ( I think not). Just some stuff you might want to think about befor youe welcom K-Love to town!

"The biggest problem I have with K-Love is there attitude that K-Love ( and let's not forget Air-1) that they are the only ones that can do Christian Radio right and that they should be they only ones doing it"

I can't begin to tell you the stories I have about all of that and their local reps. No respect at all for other stations and act like they are the boss of concerts they don't even promote.

I'm not in favor of LPFM having priority over translators. Smaller stations also have translators and have invested money. If you have a problem with stations gobbling up translators, deal with them - don't punish the other stations that don't have the money to gobble and value what they do own. Klove LMA's a station in my area for $25,000 a month and just renewed having now to pay much more to lease this station.
By the way the FCC is also hearing suggestions that they drop the limit on organizations owning LPFM, if they do that then we have the same problem - big stations gobbling up everything.

ok i understand. but please listen. the current owners of our local station only want you to go to church at their church. they only care about you if you are giving them money. we have more lost people in this town because of them then we do because of marilyn manson!! our local station is disliked by most of the community already. i once worked there. a lot of people still talk to me. the #1 question i get daily is when do we finally get rid of the bridge!! good ridance bridge 92.7!! hello klove!! btw the bridge is VTed!! so whats the diffrence..local or national. its still coming out of another state!! btw if you say they have good ratings..yea they do. they have over 25,000 members at their church. probably many of them have diaries. and recently when it was announced that they were being sold a lot of them quit listning. see the arbitrons. the last 3 months they have gone down futher than in any book the past 10 years!!
______________
