I'm not from the area (i'm a little south), but a salesperson showed me the recently released Arbitrons for the Southern Illinois area (Paducah/Cape Girardeau/Harrisburg Metro Area). I was pretty suprised to see the results. Especially #2 being WRIK-FM (a satellite AC station), and KGMO being #4. I also found it interesting that the only station actually in So. Illinois that ranked close to the top (top 11) was KEZS. I was also a bit shocked that WCIL ranked #15. Thoughts?

The Marion-Carbondale 12+ are different they have WDDD no.1 with WCIL no.3 I dont know what numbers you were actully looking at.

Arbitron has a Metro area report called Paducah/Cape/Harrisburg/Marion/Carbondale. I was looking at 25+ numbers.
