So is KLIF shifting to news?

From what I just read, it seems that way.

Yep, Here is the New schedule:

6am-10am: Morning News Block with WBAP's Amy Chodroff and FM News Chicago's Mark Williams (formerly KABC)
10am-1pm: Glenn Beck
1pm-4pm: Dave Ramsey
4pm-7pm: Afternoon News with undecided anchor

News at least every 15 minutes, even during syndicated programming.

Chris Krok moves from afternoons to evenings on WBAP
Jeff Bolton, local morning host is laid off, pretty sad.

WHAT?!?! Are They OUT OF THEIR MINDS?!
Geeze Laura is 100 times better than Krok.

No mention of any reporters. Where will the news come from?
I'd like to see a successful news station, but they take YEARS to build (KROI in Houston and that new Merlin station in Chicago are off to slow starts).
Maybe KLIF will make up for low ratings with TSL. :D

KLIF and WBAP are now co-owned. They essentially have a merged news department. Rick Hadley of WBAP is the news director for both stations. I'm sure KLIF will do just fine.

It's not like it can do much worse. It's already below a 1 share 6+. I can't imagine it's doing that great 25-54 either.

I can't believe that Huckabee won't end up as part of their mid-day line-up...and Krok must have a really strong contract to make them dump the free Laura show for a paid host during a daypart when talk stations' revenue is scant.

Not to mention Laura puts on a better show...

If I want talk radio in the AM, where do I go now? I will probably head back to the Musers but sometimes I like to get a taste of non-sports, non-guytalk talk...

Suggestions?

What? No more stuttering, stumbling and mispronouncing simple words in the morning? Even the kids on KEOM are more professional. I'm genuinely surprised it took them this long.

I just don't get the fascination KLIF has with Chris Krok. It's unlistenable to me. He sounds like a nervous wreck- and sends that vibe through the radio to me until I'm anxious to the point I can't change my radio quick enough. Seems like a nice enough guy, but when did it become acceptable to learn how to do radio in a major market?
