So is KOGO making any money?

I look at the latest 12+ ratings and KOGO is down to a 1.9. Are they doing well enough in target demos to make a few bucks or are they now being subsidized by the CC success stories (like the surprising KGB)?

Hmmmm. Kinda like when KLSD was being subsidized by the rest of the CC Cluster?

But KOGO is starting to collapse. Down to a 1.6 now. They import their news from KFI, and frankly are putting in weekend show hosts as their primary Monday to Friday shows is explaining the collapse. When they get San Diego news back, then you can say they are making some money.. Until then, let's all laugh when the out to town people say " In La Jolluh today...."

I still remember when 760 KFMB was always going head to head with KOGO or KSDO...now they all have kind of petered out.

On the other hand, in Salt Lake City, you have KSL-AM and FM going very strong with an all local lineup and a very strong news presence and they are doing great in their ratings pulling ratings from 6.3 to 7.7 so far this year, with Clear Channel's KNRS also on AM/FM right behind them.

You would think that the Clear Channel brass would come in and do a big housecleaning trying to get them back to where they were.
