So is WMEN now a Miami-FTL station?

With their latest construction permit from last year moving the transmitter further south, and changing the city of license to Boca Raton, and the station's imaging, it looks like they're now trying to target the market to the south. Although the nighttime signal is still lousy in both Broward and Dade, and Palm Beach still gets the best signal at night. Needless to say, I don't think the station is going to have much of an impact. They don't feel like big hot talk counties.

Many of the same people who ran WRMF on a local and corporate level are now a part of WMEN. They always wanted WRMF to be a Miami-Fort Lauderdale station, even with a good signal it wasn't.

A word to the folks at WMEN concentrate on being a great Palm Beach County station or pony up the bucks for a station IN Miami-Fort Lauderdale.

I know there is more money to be be made in larger markets but seems like it would be better to be a top 5 station in WPB rather than a top 20 station in Miami.....????

Miami-FTL has 3.5 million potential listeners. WPB has 1.1 million. As of the Fall p2 book, WMEN has a 1.0 in WPB and a .5 in MFTL, which converted is like a 1.5 in WPB. However, their Miami-FTL figure looks better because WMEN has been doing crappy in West Palm. If they WERE a top 5 in West Palm, it might mean something. For example, WEAT has a 4.9 in WPB, and a 0.6 in Miami-FTL, so it's better off in West Palm.
