So long, and I wish you ALL the Best in 2007 and Beyond!!

Most people here have no idea who I am, so I will make this brief.

So long to all of you in the Knoxville radio market. It has been a fun run over the last few years working as traffic reporter, high school football studio host, talk show host, scoreboard announcer, and news reporter. I wish you all the best down the road.

If you ever find yourself passing through Jefferson City, Missouri, tune in 1240 AM and give me a call.

Have a great, successful and safe 2007!!!

Jay Kersting
formerly of WNOX, now mornings on KLIK-AM Jefferson City, MO

As I said before, welcome to Jefferson City! I hope you like it here. Don't forget KLIK 1240 will also be streaming, though it's presently down pending website changes. Also, I noticed my old acquaintance from Zimmer, Rick Sinclair, has apparently made the move to Cumulus. He's a good guy.

Met Rick yesterday and came in to see how he runs mornings this morning. He is a good guy. Been a lot of help with things here so far and he may even help me buy a house.

Also met Carolyn McDowell last night. She is a hoot. Not sure how her show does, but she is interesting.

The big show launches on Tuesday. Getting ready for it now.

We're going to miss you around here, JK. Glad that you helped all of Knoxville thru the three-year nightmare that was West Hills construction in addition to being the regular fill-in for Phil (by the way, with you gone they had some real moron on subbing for Phil the other day saying that restaurants shouldn't ban smoking because walk-outs occur more frequently in non-smoking establishments).

I know UT Athletics will miss the rest of the Kersting clan as well.

Good luck with the new show!

Good luck Jay. Gonna miss those LA Weight Loss commercials with you and the Mrs. ;)

I almost forgot the thing I missed most... the infamous (and, short lived) Wild98.7 "Traffic Homie" Just about the only decent thing that was on that station...

Russ....thanks for reminding me of the LA spots....did Kathy a world of good, did me some good. Too bad it did not pay the bills for doing cheesy spots like that.

And Brian, thanks for reminding me of "Highway Homie" (to be accurate). I have no idea why I ever agreed to do that. At least I could say fun things while in character......"we have an overturned tractor trailer on Middlebrook Pike. Good news...not a beer truck...mmmmm beer...." Wild 98.7....number one in its format, until someone else programmed that format. Imagine that in Knoxville. Ha ha ha.....

Couldn't do traffic forever....well, I probably could, but I wouldn't.

Keep in touch!!!
