I live in Phoenix now, so I am not in the S FL market anymore. I've listened to Neil Rogers since the mid 70s and he was a real talent. He will be missed.
 
I listened to Neil Rogers when I visited South Florida during the 80s and 90s. He was laugh out loud funny! Listening to Neil was a fun part of my vacations.

I though Neil had died when I saw this thread, but I did a search on him, and he is still here. It's hard to think it has been almost a year and a half without Neil.
 
That one-of-a-kind ranting and sheer talent is missed every day.
 
I ran across a series of videos on YouTube of Neil. Evidently one of the local UHF stations broadcast excerpts of his radio show at night. It was great to watch him in action (bashing the TV production, of course)! He took lots of phone calls but no bits played—wonder if that was a rights problem for TV.

His radio studio was not what I had pictured in my mind. It looked like a bunker with glass between him and Jorge. I thought it would be a fancy open well lighted space but it was not that. I wonder what year that was from—obviously before he moved to Canada.

Neil Rogers moved to Canada? Quite a change from South Florida! ???
 
I don't know the exact date he moved to Toronto, but I'm pretty sure it was 2007 or maybe even earlier; he did his show on WQAM from Toronto.

After moving to Toronto, Neil always claimed that he maintained a home in Broward. He also did occasional broadcasts from WQAM's studios. I remember hearing him a couple of summers ago - when he was working merely two days a week - and he claimed to be here.
 
I was a huge Neil fan "back in the day". But the show got old and Neil seemed bored. I may be in the minority, but I like WQAM better without him.

His show would be perfect for internet radio; however, the same can't be said for Neil because he's stuck in the past. He harkens back too much about how great terrestrial radio was. He's incapable of moving forward.

Neil stated in a Tom Jicha article that he doesn't listen to radio. What are the chances he's even listening to internet radio?
