I see both KISS-FM and MIX 102.7 djs working simultaneously at Sirius. Is the money that bad in the #1 market?

I hate this overused term, but I'm sure it's a win-win.
DJs get job security: If one gig (Sirius or FM) radio goes bust, they have the other job.
For Sirius, they hire large market (many NY and LA jocks on Sirius that I can recognize) talent for, possibly, part-time wages (since most shows are voice tracked).
