So Much For Bubba Leaving The Bird...

All Access reports he re-upped with SiriusXM today.

"I will continue the radio revolution with HOWARD STERN on SIRIUS XM," said BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE. "I am pleased to have a long-term home on satellite radio."

nothing new, typical hypocrite that he has always been. Ridden the coat tales of Howard, defiantly not an innovator and not bringing anything new to radio, just my opinion

That's what you get for believing spin.

Let's just say if you hear the morning show, the afternoon show will sound VERY dejavu....

Considering that COX hired a retread and brought new life to a station really dead in the water, they should be really foxy and grab up everybody cut from Q105 and plug the holes on 107.3 , 101.5, and 105.5 . I don't see why Mason and Co. can't go to the Eagle , Mike Reeves to the Point, and Marvin to the Dove. They all would get an infusion of energy.

Again... people cost companies money and these people are not gonna be hired here anytime soon. Cox was apparently ahead of the curve on the automation and now it's coming to the other clusters. I feel sorry for the people cut loose, but it's a sad realization in radio going into 2009. It's not gonna get any better.

Felt I should bump this thread because Sirius XM was very vague with how they reported the news. Bubba is no longer doing a live afternoon show for Sirius XM, but that show is merely a tape delayed broadcast of his FM morning show, bleeps and all. However, Bubba will continue to do a live uncensored show Friday mornings.

Correcting myself. Pre-recorded bits are bleeped. The show itself is recorded before the dump button so any obscenities said live in the morning are captured.

As i posted above on 12/19 which radio-info missed when reporting the news, i stated the show would sound like deja-vu to local listeners.

I didn't think you were being completely literal. Wow.
