One of the biggest Hip Hop radio duos shows up on a SD FM(XHMORE) and no one notices?

Radio is dead.
 
agree radio cant even keep some thier spots updated I heard a commerical for Cal Worthington that said offer ends 2-22 and it was currently 3-1...glad I got out of it years ago but still enjoy hearing about it

Yep, they are so 20th Century.... They were never known in San Diego when they were a big deal, so to come to town as a syndicated show well beyond their prime is a double yawn...
 
NO syndication they will be live and in studio at XMOR. The only syndication is the hip hop master mix. Get your info correct....
 
Easy there, everybody makes mistakes. I thought it was going to be syndicated too.
Guess that means that their mix show will originate from San Diego now?

BTW: I was trying to listen to Blazin's web stream, it was horrible! All staticky, it was like listening in on a badly tuned transister radio.

How come Blazin and the Baka Boyz own websites make no mention of that? i did some some blurbs in the online radio industry websites, but hard to believe they will move to SD to do mornings - unless they are desperate for a job (maybe XMOR is buying them a house).
 
With 85 stations under their syndication belt I hardly see any desperation for a job.... Ever here these words in a sentence? "We just want to comeback home to Cali and be closer to Family..." Whether LA, SD SF. Any where in CA is closer than Miami. Remember thes two guys set the pace for hip hop radio and continue doing it with the hip hop master mix. Seeing the return to mornings is great. They have put their share of time in the radio industry. I hope SD is ready for a wake up call!!!!!
 
Alex, I know that you were working for Groove 99.3 and no longer on, so I suspect you may be somehow connected with XHMORE or the BB's. If you are that's fine. I am sure they are radio pros.

However, I am going to kindly ask that you please not utilize the board as a personal free commerial for them. Saying that "San Diego radio needs a wake up call" is over the top and uncalled for. There are many radio professionals who are working, started in, or come through this market. San Diego does not need "a wake up call" as you put it, and to say something like that just to promote a radio show is an insult and a smack in the face to everyone who works in the San Diego radio market.

IM not connected with XHMOR what so ever. Not trying to post or make any kind of commercial for the Baka Boyz at all. Just stated facts regarding them. Not even making a issue out of it. IM sure the Baka Boyz will make lots of noise in the SD market. I didnt say that SD needed a wake up... I said they are ready for a wake up call!!!!! No Im not at Groove 99.3 anymore THANK GOD!!!!!!! As for talented jocks in SD I give much respect and not trying to add insults to them.

All in all IM showing my support to the Baka Boyz....

In that case, no offense intended, I just realized what you meant (wake up call, mornin guys, duh... )
Just tryin to keep it real, that's all. There are a few clowns out there who are station employees, masking as regular posters, who are just there to promote there own stations programming. My apologies.
 
Glad we both agree mornings aka wake ups, am drive blah blah blah... Pleasure to meet you Garrett. I mean no harm either... I dont work for XHMOR as a masked poster on radio boards, to me thats an insult to the small tight nit industry we call radio.

I take it that the 'boyz will be on board in about 68 days gawd, this is almost as long as Jerry Ford's presidency. MEC should hit the PR bushes and releases.
 
Weren't they on Z90 last year, or 2 years ago?

I think it'd be nice if 989 didn't keep screwing with the schedule... it seems some weeks they're on 5-8, other fridays they're not on at all, or they start 6-8:30.
