So now that its been awhile....

I agree even if you hear a song you dont really like you pretty much know you will like the next 3 or 4

The Groove is still much better. True "old schoolers" don't want to hear any of the new stuff, 99.3 is still the heritage Old School station in town. Not to mention that The Beat doesn't have any live, breathing bodies around...

You have got to be kidding! The groove better than the beat? No Way! The beat has a better signal and the processing is even better, while the groove has niether. The r&B that they play is great, who from the ages of 21-45 does not know any of the songs that are played?

I prefer the Groove. Better imaging, tighter playlist.

You have got to be kidding right? The proccessing on Groove sucks ass. If you ask me sounds like an AM station on an FM frequency. The imaging on Groove is stale. The beat on the other hand sounds fresher, cleaner and BIGGER. Grooves signal is not that great either. I was driving up the 99 back to Fresno and Groove DIES in Mc Farland. The Beat was blasting up to Visalia and as far south as Pyrimid Lake. As far as jocks Christine Martinez is Live, Louie Cruz is over modulated and Voice tracked, Emilio is live but giggles like a kid, the night jock voice tracked as well. Lets see what happens when and IF the Beat gets any jocks to Grooves dj's. So as a listener what would you rather hear music with depth and clarity or crappy proccessing? IM not praising either or for this or that but common man likes clean strong radio signals and more music than talking. I drive the 99 everyday from Fresno to LA and listen to three old school stations IM LUCKY. Yes I liked Groove before the beat jumped on the scene thats my own two cents. Groove kills mega up here in Fresno but the Beat sounds better than Groove in Bakersfield.
