I was driving to Genuardi's at 3:04 this afternoon and both B101 and Sunny 104.5 were playing "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by The Boss. Naturally, as any geek would, I switched between the two to see which station sounds better. (I've never thought Sunny's processing was great and B101 has oddly bad reception in very suspect areas). I was surprised to find that both stations sound like (BLEEP).

I was even more surprised when I walked into Genuardi's and immediately heard "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" by Bruce Springsteen start up on the muzak! Maybe it'll be Billboard's Greatest Airplay Gainer next week. ;)

What do you all think of Sunny's and B's audio processing? Am I crazy? Is it always kinda crummy or just for Christmas?

Good topic. If you're going to compare WSNI to WBEB, of course, WBEB wins ratings-wise. Processing-wise I think goes hands down to Sunny, though. WBEB always sounds tinny to me. Year round. On all my radios. But not Sunny.

Actually, I find Sunny's processing to be okay. Not great, but not bad either. The "B" on the other hand always sounds dull to me.
