So tell me again......

Just what is so bad about DAVE's morning show??
I think they are better than ANY of the mentioned replacements! I've listened a lot lately.....Orff and Holly are as good(actually-better!) as anyone on the air today!
Just what do you guys want?? Do you need more sexual innuendo, flatulence discussion, "intelligent political discussion"....what is it? What makes Opie and Anthony "outstanding" entertainment? Why do you want to hear Larry and Eric blah blah blah for four hours EVERY morning? Why would ANY intelligent human being listen to more than 10 seconds of David Paul?
What additions could be made to Orff and Holly to turn it into a "morning show?" Are there "redeeming" factors that, in your opinion, could be exploited?
Flame away.....

I gave it a try after TRG were screwed by Clear Channel management, but I just don't care for the show. I'd like a little more sexual innuendo and flatulence discussion in the morning. Throw in a few comedians and bleeped out bad words and I'm there!

That is it. That is what Atlanta Radio needs: more flatulence. That is the best suggestion to date.

Good point, Tom. I, personally, like Holly and Orff. They're two great personalities, on and off the mic.

My problem is that I don't get off work until 9am, which is when Dave is in "shuffle". However, I do think they need a good support staff that can help them deliver compelling content other than music history and headlines. They're two great people with talent that hasn't even been tapped into yet. That, and move the time slot back to 6-10. They might not get Star's numbers, but surely take over X's.

Holly, Denzel and Orff have developed a great chemistry, and I think they just keep getting better. I do however think that the addition of a stronger lead personality would only help to make the show better. And I think Orff might be running the board. A producer would help them not be so scattered as they sometimes sound. They put on a good show. I hope that the new PD builds on what they have, and doesn't replace them.

I think the morning show is not that good. Like it was said above, the lack of a lead hurts. Holly irritates me with her little phrases she constantly over uses. Orff is not that bad but not really morning show lead or at least not given the boundries to explore further. Denzel is horrible.

This show spends a lot of time on Pop culture and he is usually clueless or makes the most inane comments. When he makes attempts at humor he usually quickly follows that up with an explanation of his humor.

I guess I'm having trouble here.....
You're saying that Larry and Eric don't dwell in the land of "pop culture?"
That Opie and Anthony think on a higher plane than "Survivor?"
That David Paul is a candidate for Mensa?
I guess I'm in a "gettin' up at 5 AM" daze and don't notice Holly's over use of cliche.
I like Scott Slade, Capt Herb, and Kurt, the weather gerbil, cause they tell me stuff I need to know to get to work and through the day.(if only they could check to make sure I put on clean underwear) But if you like music mornings, with folks you wouldn't mind having at the breakfast table with your wife and kids, then these guys fit the bill.
I just don't see where the oft-mentioned "established" personalities have anything on these guys.....and I wouldn't let most of the oft-mentioned radio "personalities" anywhere near my wife and kids.......

I have no problem with the pop culture talk it is just Denzel is clueless usually on the subject so his comments seem out of place all the time. If you don't know the topic stay out of the conversation. I just feel like he brings nothing to the table.

Holly every time she says "I'm not saying...." It is like finger nails to a chalkboard to me. She is not as cutesy as she thinks she is. She's closer to 40 than 20.

I've only heard the show a few times.. the times I did listen it was very bad. Holly tries hard to be cute but it is annoying to say the least. you would think someone with her news background could get the names right and not "flub up" so much when she does the news. I find that Orff and Denzel lend nothing to the show. The entire thing is hard to listen to, so I don't.

One thing I've definately learned in my young career is to keep the engineers happy. Tom, if I worked at one of the stations you service, I would definately bring a dozen or two of Krispy Kreme's hot glazed by the trailer from time to time.
