Did it ever launch like it was supposed to. If it did I havent read anything about it for a while. If it did launch, what does it sound like, providing you can hear the station where you are?

The station delayed its launch date to February 4th. Star is recovering from a liver transplant, which is the cause of the delay. I can "kinda" get the station in The Bronx but I am hoping with the new change they can boost power somehow since I can see the station not reaching that far out into NJ, Long Island and Westchester/Rockland/Connecticut.

Queens the station comes in Loud and clear. Western Nassau is great to. For Westchester and Rockland just tune a unhooked cable or satellite tv to channel 6 to hear the audio.

we all luv to listen to radio stations on our cable tvs, don't we?
I also watch my favorite tv shows on my microwave oven...

:D ;D That was funny Jimmy... Watch TV shows on the microvave oven....lol

Yeah its called Music Choice. BTW many non-coms send their audio to be played on the community channels on cable. Our station does it and there are many people who listen to us through the TV

it's just all so bizarre, something for shut ins perhaps, most people aren't buying HD plasma tvs TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO on them; Music Choice? fun for about ten minutes, then it becomes BEE-CZAR!

The weird thing about this station is that they are recognized as a TV station and not a radio station so they will not show up in Arbitron.

I'm also getting the feeling that this station is going to be one of those deals where the dance music portion of their airplay is something that is going to be done in block programming by people that purchase the airtime or can generate advertising support on their own. I've seen a couple of e-mails about this (not naming the station) in the last week or so from DJ's looking for support. Seems strange.

No they send the audio through their home theatre systems and crank it through the house. A lot of bars, gyms and other businesses use this feature.

I actually agree with Brett, I dont think its that unusual to get music from your TV, because of Music Choice, plus Low Power stations being available on cable, but Jimi's post about watching TV on the microwave oven really made me crack up, I was rolling for a good 10 minutes.
