I was listening to the station all day and I didnt hear them mention the station anymore. So what happend? Did they go back? Did the FCC deny the application?
I think I understand what you're saying, but you don't make it easy. When you said you've been listening to "the station" all day I assume you're talking about their Houston station. And you're wondering why they haven't mentioned anything about the station they want to buy, KUZN 105.9, licensed to Centerville.
What I can tell you is that these things take time. First the two parties enter into an agreement that spells out the terms of the sale and that's followed by a detailed application to get FCC approval for the sale. Once that's approved the deal can go through but the FCC must be notified when, or if, the sale actually goes through. That's officially known as notice of "consummation." The deal wasn't turned down; it just hasn't received the FCC's blessing yet, and this time of the year the FCC acts slowly, or I should say even slower than usual. Just because it's not being mentioned on the air doesn't mean it won't happen eventually.
A suggestion to you, mrtexmex: many of your posts lack information. By that I mean the casual reader might have no idea what you're talking about. Look at your post and ask yourself: am I being clear? They don't have to be lengthy, just understandable.
The employees at the station were told that the new network would take over january first. seems a bit fast! Whats bad about it there is one full time employee there that just got on his feet I believe and now its over for him. They had a great morning show. I listened quite alot and I am upset they have to go. Great job guys and good luck to you all! The guys name is Jeff Michaels and he should be in a bigger market! He deserves it! The sports guy they have is Tommy Davis Iv heard better but hes good enough for the area. god bless Ill miss yas.

Would agree that the radio guy should be in a bigger market. Maybe in Tom Thumb or HEB cutting meat. Kind of a small time Howard Stern type that grows on you like a wart that won't go away. Talked to a few mangers of other stations in the area and the other guy supposedly has already had offers from three other stations to be their main play-by-play/ sports director. Looks like he won't have any trouble finding work.
