So, what is up with the Doghouse?

After they were let go, a few people ran here and announced that the Doghouse was signed and sealed to take over (I think it was supposed to be last month) in the morning at KITS. With Corolla talking, it sounds like that is not happening.

Where can they go now? All CC stations are out. I really don't see any opening in SF anytime soon for them. With their last few ratings books, I don't see another Top 5 market hiring them.

And, would their show even work out of Northern California or on a non-Urban format?

Do they have too much pride to go to Sacramento or Reno and wait?

I think Reno would be good for them. Look what heppened to Budman and Booger from KSFM. They came from reno and them moved up to Sac. There are a lot of bay area transplants up there that would love to hear them, and with Wild 102 being the only Hip hop contender they really have no local competition.

You'll have to rely on old Doghouse CDs. In either market, there's either no place to put them or no money. Definitely not the kind of money they were used to making.

However, all those predictions from fans was deeply appreciated!

Agreed... Neither market would be able to pay those guys anywhere close to what they were making in SF.

I'm not so sure that show will work outside of Northern CA...

That was why I asked the question to start off with. I don't think they could move to Philly, or even a place like Portland and have their show work.

And, not to stereotype too much, but psychics and spirituality on a show like theirs will probably only work on an urban station.

So, I think their only option is to go to the lesser market, take the paycut, work the remote at the carwash on the weekend, and try to reinvent the show enough to make it work in more places and formats.
