First, the #1 Spanish station in 25-54 is KXTN, so it is hardly dead. Lower than in 1995? Sure. But it is among the market's highest billers.

Second, Estéreo Latino is the same format as other UVN stations that may be called Que Buena, La Nueva or whatever. They are all regional Mexican formats, and KROM, with Raúl Bryndis in the morning, is doing very well... 0.1 away from KXTN in 25-54 and almost a 7 share in 18-34... and #4 in the total market in that demo, behind KISS, KBBT and KAJA.

Piolín is on KCOR in San Antonio.

DAVID, then why do people say tejano is dead?? And that its dying there in San Antonio?

We specifically told you, San Antonio is one of the only two markets that can sustain a Tejano format. The other is Corpus Chrisit. The Valley was on that list but KGBT and Recuerdo are ahead of the two Tejano stations down there. KXTN is the leader in San Antonio. Outside of San Antonio, Tejano is like the old wind that cannot blow (well you know what I;m trying to say) Read our comments carefully.

Isn't Piolin already on KCOR AM????

Yeah Piolin is there Juan but it would be better if he was on 107.5

I mean come on, Raul Brindis has more ratings here in texas but not in the whole country Piolin has more ratings. Just like I remember in Dallas there was estereo latino 94.1 with raul brindis and pepito then that show stoped and it was los hijos de la macada. then estero latino fliped to recuerdos. But Piolin is still there on 107.9. So why not in San Antonio on 107.9??

And Que Pasa just eliminated the Tejano, making it a full regional station in the RGV. No more Tejano on any big signal.

Isn't Piolin already on KCOR AM????

Si, señor. Y está muy "a gushto."

Not entirely, It's still a hybrid of Regional Mexican/Tejano.

Thought so since he is on in almost every Univision market.
Now that's a dedicated Personality right there. Even in New York, he is doing very well. I see the station itself (WQBU) made the Top 10 in 18-34. Now that's not only impresive for a small stick, but for being in New York.

Well nobody likes tejano, well I love tejano but it seems nobodyy else does.
