So What's The Verdict On WRIT?

So now that they've re-launched, what's the verdict on WRIT?
Is their imaging better or worse? How about the music? It's hard
to tell much of a difference so far, maybe a few 80's tunes here & there.
So what do you think?

MUCH smaller playlist then before. I don't know if this is temporary or not. I remember when The Brew launched they had an extremely repetative playlist (songs played more then once a day, etc) but they gradually added more to it and stopped.

Pretty much the same format except for some 80s AC (Cher - After All, Phil Collins - Against All Odds, Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams, Sheena Easton - Morning Train, Soft Cell - Tainted Love, Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen, etc)

Imaging is ok. No idea who the voice guy is. Jingle package sounds similar to the old one. Sounds pretty good.

Same morning team as before. Rest of the station remains jockless. They kept Sunday 70s (with the syndicated shows), Studio 95 (disco) and Beatle Brunch from what I heard over the weekend.

Sounds ok. I give it a 7 out of 10 for what they're doing.

Thanks for the update. Odd as it sounds, stations always seem to go with a tight playlist to start with. It's been said that some of the most successful ones had tight playlists when they had great ratings, but with this format it may be a mistake. The music I heard sounded pretty much like before the re-launch, I think they should expand the music library soon.

From what I heard on the WRIT stream it looks like they'll keep the same morning team, but the other jocks, who knows? I recognize the voice guy from a CC station in Los Angeles, he's good. Sounds less like a format change and more of an image adjustment more than anything else....

....."The happiest station...
For you and me...
is Thirteen-Forty...
W-R-I-T"

(oops, sorry)

I didn't get a chance to listen today, but yesterday, Dave Murphy, the assistant program director was back doing his mid-day thing. Michelle Stone from The Brew was doing afternoon drive. They were jockless after 7:00.
