MY 107.3 start playing those yule tunes? I am assuming they will start at 5pm on Friday Night (11/16) like they did last year or possibly.... will they be smart enought to start playing them the day after thanksgiving???

WMXC says they are going ALL CHRISTMAS November 21st!
 
Will they did last year? Would you think they will do the same?
 
Looks like My 1073 is starting to put Christmas info on there site. They even have a Christmas 107-3 on there website along with a full page going out to Santa lovers. It's set up as those d.j/bio pages. So WYCL will go christmas. Hmm..

You guys, this is reminding me of the States racing to be the first primary, everybody gets one. Read that in Dothan WLDA was doing it Nov 19. The only ones in the market I know of planning 24/7.
 
I'm very suprised to hear WASJ playing all christmas music...not a bad mix either (though the sound processing sounds like garbage)

it midas well be from out here. this station comes in better then 106.3 which gets bumped by other stations upon skip.
 
I think the rest of the stations will follow suit sometime next week.

105.1 came in strong last night (fog and humidity) 98.5 semi came in (thanks, cat country)

don't tempt me. (and it's not a clock radio) it could have come in pending we don't already have a 100KW 94.9 here especially during the summer when conditions were ripe.

Hey Robbie, just having a little fun, lighten up pal, it's the Holidays. Was wondering, what exactly is your radio experience? I've worked in major markets and now have settled nicely in North Florida. You seem to have your ear close to the dial but some of your threads confuse me and others. Have a Merry Christmas, we know there's plenty of music to enjoy over the Holidays...................cheers pal!

I have a crap crane radio and have pulled some stations from a far. Looking for a SW/FM portable.

I lost some of my logs but have pulled some from what I thought was MPLS, MN (no ID's though)

Heard radio disney on 1440 one time.

My radio experience is null. (broadcasting) since I do not have a voice. Picture howard stern back in college (when he screwed up the records) except mine isn't as high (in the film private parts)

Almost applied for WMCR up in NY before we moved down here (a local station)

How do ya have a ERP of O? I've got a Realistic (Radio Shack) DX-440 that is great..Got all bands and works well. I bought it in 90 so I don't know if they are still available! BIG APE!
 
Tallahassee's WTLY Magic 107.1 is now in the Christmas mode..

Speaking of settling in North Florida..I started in Tallahassee at WTAL in 1979..never changed markets even though I got a few offers..did the daily grind until July of 2004, when I semi-retired.

None of Tallahassee's stations can match the legendary WAPE, though. I have relatives in Jax..and I was very familiar with the "station with its own pool" ;D
 
I'm really starting to dis like this area radio wise. At least Syracuse had a jazz station i could hear.
(and people wonder why there's a portable XM radio on my desk)

not to mention I used to enjoy CBC radio when it came in on skip. Sure it's on the net but w/ crappy audio.
