So where is GROOVES!

Wondering where Grooves went???

www.hot102.net

I am happy for him. I know he really was bummed about the ripping apart Hot107.9 got. Don't care what ya say...Hot 103 and Hot 107.9 are NOT the same station. I wish him well...he was a good jock in a very unhappy situation.

Rhythmic CHR always was his strong suit! He became a real fish out of water at Hot 103 trying to pretend like he was still in the same old game!

But before the rumors start...he told me PERSONALLY that Glen is a great guy to work for! So no slams intended to anyone!

WOW MY OWN THREAD!!

Hey all!

I rarely post here, but wow, my own thread! It's like a dream come true, someone noticed I was missing from the air!

I had a blast in State College. I wish I would have actually went to school more often than I did, but other than that I leave with no regrets! It's my opinion that Mike Jax and I ran a kick a$$ rhythmic chr with the budget we were given. I was truely proud of the product we had on the air. The freedom to do what we wanted, both musically and as personalites, was a once in a lifetime opporunity.

Oh yeah...one other regret. Standing on College Ave. in a bikini when the Eagles lost to the Steelers. My apologies to whoever saw those pics in The Collegian or even worse, saw it in person....again my apologies. Us Italians are hairy, what can I say.

I also enjoyed my time at Hot 103. As mentioned above, Glen is great to work for and I learned a tremendous amount in the short amount of time I was there. I wouldn't be here in Lexington if it wasn't for my time there. He was (and still is) a great friend.

I hear Derrick is doing a great job at night and I'm sure working with Glen will only improve his skills. There is a ton of talent in that building, on all the stations. One day working there and it would be obvious to anyone.

Competition breeds good radio, so to the folks at the Rev, errr um, G101, I wish you all the best of luck. I have nothing but respect for everyone in that market.

So greetings from the Bluegrass State and I look forward to enjoying a beverage with you all at Players when I return for Artsfest next weekend. Glen, Bacardi Raz and Sprite with a splash of cran sound good??

Thanks again to all for a fun two years. Sorry for the sappiness.

Grooves, I am touched...I feel like a 10 year old boy in Michael Jackson's bedroom!!

You did a GREAT job with 107.9 and your transition top Mainstream CHR was flawless...you are a true professional. Good luck in Lexington...by the way I have great idea for a bit for you out there...it involves a candy bar named after a ton of money...I am sure the GM would be behind it ;)

I don't think I'll be trying that bit anytime soon.

Only if my favorite waitress is working. Wait, I live in Lexington now, UK girls put PSU girls to shame, and I NEVER thought I would say that.

Back to my Popeyes and a weekend shift. Shots of Bourbon await me this evening, ughhh.

Warning G man!

Grooves,

Many years ago I feel in love with a girl from another school there WKU, went to see her all the time. A few years later met another from where else WKU! Crazy but you got it they are so cool to be around in Kentucky. You made a big imprint on Happy valley and you will always have friends here. You can count on the fact that Glen will do a good job and us guys at the rev/G101 are glad you helped ratchet it up a notch, we will keep up the work! Somebody pointed out competition is good and sooner or later who we work against today will be the same guy we work with tomorrow.

PS remember they have great fake IDs there don’t get a young one!

Grooves

Good luck to you buddy... from Pennsyltucky to the real Kentucky... blue grass, blue skies, and a couple of winners at Keeneland to ya!
