So, Where's the Genius?

Clear Channel is bathed in blood - mostly from the programming side - in markets from San Francisco to NYC, including Syracuse. MediaWeek has a pretty good overview.

So, where's The Genius to tell us again about how good it is to work for The Mays Empire...

Hey, Rox...as scarce as he's been for the past several months, I'll bet his been gone for quite awhile.

He's probably selling ladies shoes, or maybe, hamburgers some where.

only in the cuse does getting fired/laid off make people happy. regardless of what people may have said on this board, the fact is hundreds of people/families are losing their jobs right before the holidays. you may be next at any time....not so funny then.

think about that before you post a response. (although I know you won't)

It's Called Karma

Perhaps people like The Genius need to think about the fact that ALL of us are vulnerable to changes in the corporate wind when they begin to denigrate other people in the business. He was the blowhard that started ripping other people. Take a look at postings by The Genius and tell me that he doesn't deserve to get called out for being an arrogant ass.

Getting fired is no fun. If you haven't had the experience yet, you will. Broadcasting is a brutal mistress, especially with the bean counters in charge.

Ironically, Bone hit the nail on the head with regard to being fired in one of his recent posts. Such a philosopher, that Bone. Albert Camus and JP Sartre got nothing on the Big Man.

The Genius will probably show up sooner than later and expound on what a great company CC is, how the latest firings make the comapny bigger and more powerful and how good the kool aid is. He'll also preen about how much he makes, how everybody and anybody else who works for any other company is merely pocket lint. Blah, blah, blah.

He makes for interesting, albeit vapid, banter and fuels the fire.

It's never pleasant when people get fired, even arrogant salesguys like TG. But, as the Godfather once told his son Michael Corleone, "this is the business we've chosen" (and the one I've chosen to get out of) so we roll with the punches, dust ourselves off and live to fight another day. They can beat our asses down, but they can't kill us and they can't eat us.

Would anybody be surprise if CC doesn't thin the herd at least one more time becfore the sale is final?
