so who went to ratfest?

yes i stood there and counted everybody! 1st 9100 is bs and you'll have to deal with it and how come when people talk about wdha or the rat you accuse them of being workers or co workers. its obvious to me that you Must be working there cause you take it so personal. fyi i also post about 92.3 and sirius cause these are the stations i get an care (or cared) about. if you must know im a mng at ups in parisipanny i dont work for the stations and im not here to spread "propaganda" since people are critical of your station (which is wdha or the rat which you have made obvious) maybe its because wdha has changed so much in the past year and not for the better. 92.3 has changed more but nobody has accused me of spreading propaganda on the new york board.

so pleasetoshore get back to making your station better and less time on the boards

Yeah Pleasetoshore, get back to making your station better, while the king of queens here gets back to losing my f'ing package! Hey what can brown do for me? I'll tell ya: shut up and just listen or don't listen! You have to many negative opinions for someone not anti Greater Media (e.i. ex employee)...it just doesn't jive. By the way, why don't you use the frustration you harbor for not being good enough to make it as a dj in a more positive way...like beating the crap out of the dude who makes you guys wear those shorts.

so am i an x 92.3 employee too? i complain about them.....as far as shut up sure lets get rid of the boards then so we cant discuss anything. you must be a highly sucessful dj if im not good enough to be one (even though i only worked at one in school) and you'd be surprised by the women who like the brown shorts (even though i work indoors i have to wear a shirt and tie)

and the last thought on this is from blabbermouth......

it still looked like less but its no 9100 either

The original post by Radroad was: "So who went to Ratfest...HA HA Nobody did!!!!" Then went on to say "maybe 4000"...then went on to say a much larger number (over 70% more than the 4000 number). For almost 7000 people to come on during a storm was pretty damn good. Give credit where credit is due.

An axe to grind has to be it. Why would a UPS employee in Parsippany be so obsessed with RAT, DHA and MMR? You can't get The Rat in Parsippany, and MMR is in Phili.

I think you dudes got it right.

Radroad...just move on.

umm when do i talk about mmr? maybe once when i herd it driving and said it sounded similair to dha. again i post on other boards (ny and sirius) so i must work there to! damn with all these jobs i must be rich!!! you must be another dj from one of these stations who cant take the fact that there no good anymore and nobody cares. its sad cause dha was good but now its just lame. but i say the same things about k rock and dont get this "axe to grind" response like i do from you and pleasetoshore. so you must be the ones working at these stations to be so upset over comments made on this board. i said who i was why dont you tell us what you do?

Greater Media has a problem similar to Clear Channel and the like. All of their "Active Rock" stations are extremely cookie cutter and there's little difference between any of them. Note that I put Active Rock in quotes because they're actually Heritage Rock stations and not Active. Any station with 20 Currents or less that counts past-their-prime acts like Tom Petty, Aerosmith and The Who among them along with an emphasis on trad rock is most definitely a Heritage station. Nothing against these acts, they have all produced good music throughout their careers (though they're washed up now), but all of these stations need to get with the times and embrace the edgier rock acts. No one else in any of their respective markets plays them (aside from WYSP part-time in Philly) and that is what listeners want to hear right now. I can only imagine how much stronger ticket sales would have been if WRAT had catered more to fans of the bands that played the show, instead of playing all this soft trad rock.

If you want to see what is wrong with WRAT, look no further than this playlist. They have to be the most generic, bland "Active Rock" station around today, much like sister stations WDHA and WMMR. There are several acts that currently have songs in the Active Rock Top 20 (Eighteen Visions and Avenged Sevenfold come to mind) that WRAT isn't even playing yet! Meanwhile, they are content to slam tired recurrent tracks nonstop, and continue to play new material by tired dinosaur rockers whose best years are far behind them (Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who, Tom Petty). I don't blame any of the station's personnel for this direction - rather, I think it should lie with the suits at Greater Media. Do they think that their listeners are not advanced enough to handle rock acts that sound like they came out today instead of 1986 like Hinder and Buckcherry? Someone needs to take WRAT out of the stone age and into 2006 with the rest of us. This station needs a serious overhaul - the staff is great but the music needs so much help it's ridiculous.
