So Who's Asleep in the Engineering Department WSB or RTV?

The audio during the Alfred Hitchcock hour is terrible except during commercials. It has been this way for several days. No one at RTV seems to have picked up on this. Why wouldn't WSB have taken the initiative to at least put up "Audio Trouble" on the screen? It can't be rocket science to get this one program's audio fixed.

Since it is a network issue... meaning there is a problem on the Alfred Hitchcock recording that is loaded into the server, WSB will not be able to do anything. Here is the contact info for the network from their website www.myretrotv.com:

I've given up completely watching RTV. It had lots of promise when it debuted but hasn't met my expectations. Lousy audio, audio/video sync issues constantly, non-interesting playlist and repetitive commercials.

There are no controls for RTV physically located at WSB-TV. They are located 100 miles up the road at RTV's network operations center in Chattanooga, where all RTV affilates are fed from.

All RTV affilates are having problems. A look at the National TV board and other boards here will show nothing but complaints. One affiliate dropped RTV as a result of all of the technical glitches. The problems started with the move from the Equity CASH hub in Little Rock when Equity went belly-up (Equity had sold what was then RTN months before). The new hub was rushed into service when Equity's contracts with their satellite space providers expired. It has been a disaster since day one of operations from the Chattanooga NOC.

It was a disaster long before that.

I'm not sure if I want to call into RTV. The guy taking calls there isn't very friendly. You would think he would be grateful that he has viewers who care enough to call in and ask about their broadcasting problems like repeats of the same episodes several days in a row.
