So who's paying the Sports Princess

I heard her over on 990 doing sports talk in the noon hour.

Yeah, I heard that, too...and a rather animated black preacher giving the gospel a couple of hours before that. Did Thom come up with some money after all? Does "Rejoice" still run on 990?

Kate Delaney works for the same company that owns Rejoice.

Wanna hear something funny, I am an agency guy. Remember the show Princess did with O.J. on the internet? Well O.J,'s reps called me about one of my clients. Wanted my client to give O.J. a Range Rover for sponsorship of the show. No kidding, I could not make up something that good.

OK, the evangelical chatter (nicer term for 'screaming preacher') was on 990 again this morning. It was a segment from a church based in Cedar Hill. OK, so the schedule "appears" to be: local show in the mornings, followed by block(s) of screamers, then the Sports Princess at noon, then I guess ABCRN's "Rejoice" format thereafter, and into the night? Who came up with this hodge-podge piecemeal thing? Unless the Princess had some Thom con-tract keeping her on 990, I can't see where she fits a format that's (supposedly) aimed at 35+ black females (at least the "Rejoice" part's aimed that way.) That's about as dumb as if KEGL had kept "The John Tesh Show" playing there after the switch to La Preciosa.

For all those owners and lessees and LMAers who treat their AMs so carelessly and as an afterthought (or a never-thought:) hey, throw a station MY way. I'll come up with something more compelling and consistent and maybe even draw in a listener or two!!

I don't mean this to sound like sour grapes, although it might, but that was the most demoralizing thing about the entire experience.

That the people who "owned" the station cared so little about it they'd stand idly by and watch really incapable people run it into the ground.

Mike, if they throw a signal your way for talk, expect my resume. I'm sure you'd do something with it.
