SO YA WANNA BE THE NEXT PD AT "THE WOLF"?

Yup, you guessed it - Scott Mahalik decided he had enough and rumor has it he's packing his bags for the Rose City to hook up with his old boss Larry Wilson.

How many PDs has that been now for The Wolf? And how many PDs has it been for KMPS? Uh-huh.

So now we're waiting for the usual responses - the spin from TIFM, Larry telling us corporate radio is evil and Kylie telling us how dead the radio industry is.

Yawn...

hmm..wonder if former kbks night jock and current apd at the wolf in san fran, keola, would make the drive up i-5 to fill this position?

Guy Smiley himself, TIFM, should take the helm! He's their biggest cheerleader!

The WOLF is the number one Country station in Seattle in every key demographic as I write. For some reason I feel the WOLF in Portland will be very strong and KMPS could be in for some real growth, real soon. Goodbye emoticons and goodbye Seattle, for now. LOL

If anyone is familiar with the Portland market and the Alpha purchase they will appreciate the light shedding nature of TIFM's post.

How about ME? No one has picked ME yet! Everyone wants to pick ME! Especially AQH! I know how to fix Seattle radio! I'm just me. ME! ME! ME! - Is this enough for you AQH?

I have SOME ideas......but I ain't gonna do YOUR job AQH. I am not PAID to do that. You'll just have to read between the lines of whatever I offer I guess..........

Cheers!

It's not as funny anymore since you've proven yourself to be a hypocrite with what you've already said on this board.

Most people on this board with a clear mind knows what your real capability is Larry.

There you have it folks; yet another example of rambling sentences, bad grammar and syntax.

Tell you want Sir Bong-a-Long-A-Ding Dong.. If indeed you are serious that somehow you know how to program a real large market radio station, why don't you send your highly qualified resume' to the GM at the Wolf? The only thing we ask is that you post the response here so we can see it, especially if your cover letter looks anything like the posts you frequently make here.

P.S. Oh, and make sure you include the part of their response that says: "And if you ever come within 200 feet of our door we will have you arrested".

This board's inability to deal with sarcasm is a complete crack up. Big changes in store for KUPL and KMPS and a few other country stations around the west...all good! The WOLF stations are now about to bite the dust. That ain't no sarcasm cowboys :)

Will be back soon, mark this cowboys words. Adios Seattle

So let me see if I understand this correctly Scott; during your phony texan diatribe as TIFM, you insisted that The Wolf marketing genre was the greatest thing for country music since Mel Tillis. Now that you're leaving Seattle to head 200 miles South to work for a former boss, you trash on the Wolf genre in a cryptic fashion and give props to the competition. If I didn't know better, I'd swear there was some bad blood between you and Entercom, or all of your self promotion was nothing but a bunch of hot air. Either way there's an old term for people like you.. I believe that term is 'turncoat'.

I've been in this business for a while and become quite wealthy because of it. Even still, I have a friendly word of advice to you. Keep your fingers away from the keyboard when you feel the urge to diminish your former employer, even in a tongue-and-cheek manner. As a wise person once told me many years ago, don't burn bridges, as you never know when you'll need to cross them again someday.

Good luck to you.

You seriously think Mr. M would take the time to post here and in such a immature way? Doesn't he have a brand to build?

I don't think so, but just you keep poking that cowpoke TIFM and have your fun.
