"Soft Rock" 101.9

why do they call themselves this? This applies to other stations who call themselves or say they play "soft rock." That term is obsolete because there's not a lot of soft music today that is rock, and at some points, there's nothing soft about the music. Examples: Mony Mony by Billy Idol, Believe by Cher, I Will Survive by Gloria Gayner, um...Always Something There to Remind me by Naked Eyes. These songs were never considered as soft rock at the time of their release. Do these songs get played simply because they're older songs? I think 101.9 should change its name, maybe to Sunny 101.9.
