Soft Rock returns to the Atlanta airwaves

Just moments ago, B98.5 returned to their normal format...and thus begins a new era in Atlanta radio without AC competition.

What was a field of 6 stations in the 80's is now one. (I do not count the new 96.7 since it does not reach the city proper, unless you have a good not-made-in-China radio.)

Sounds cool to me. Twice a year in the dentist office is quite enough! ;D

Speaking of which, one of B's jocks apparently goes to my dentist. They played the station in the waiting room but eventually switched to the River. The receptionist told the jock that they just couldn't take the Christmas music anymore, to which the person replied "I completely understand."

Bless her heart, I love my wife more than life itself but STILL can't understand how she can listen to Christmas music 365 days a year. Thank the lord no one plays it that often and "the peach" is rotten fruit now................ What can we do about those other two "christmas" station............ Bah Humbug.

I hope you aren't referring to J93 and The Fish, because that's just downright insensitive. There's a big difference between "Christian" and "Christmas."

Bite me. I don't give a rat's ass about "insensitive". My wife listens to the fish "religiously" and I can't stand that one either. It's just folks "screwin' for Jesus" as my mom used to put it. But then hey, I'm not a Baptist so if you enjoy it, ENJOY it. I don't. Top 40 music that talks about Jesus rather than screwing doesn't interest me. I like Third Day but David Crowder blew them off the stage last month. GOOD music is GOOD music. Subject matter doesn't matter to me. I find it as meaningless as backstabbing gossipping baptists. I already know I'm not "good enough" to be a Baptist. Hell, Jesus wasn't good enough to be a Baptist. What's your point? Oh wait, I'm being "insensitive" again aren't I?

Now let's work on your reading comprehension skills. You were clever enough to type both "Christmas" as well as "Christian" so one could logically conclude that YOU know the difference between the two words. Are you suggesting that I'm too stupid to know the difference? I don't think I typed Christian, oh wait, I DIDN'T. How "insensitive" of you.
