Softwareupgrade Orban 8200

Hello everybody !!!

Can anybody help my by upgrating my Orban? In this moment I have an Orban 8282 with softwareversion 1.2
I want to upgrade it to an Orban 8200 with the softwareversion 3.0
Is this possible to do it and what will be the costs for an "Upgrade-Chip"?Does anyone have an idea?
Maybe anybody has the Software for sale?

Thanks for answers...

Not fore sure, but I believe that is a TV processor. I would not get your hopes up because Orban dropped the 8200 series several years back.

I looked some time ago to modify the 8282 to the 8200,I think the control card crystal needs changing, also you won't have the encoder card fitted, but i am sure it was possible.

Give Orban a ring or email the tech department,if you do replace the module let me know if i can buy your old module,if you are interested.

Contact Marty Acuff (Orban technical support engineer) at 510 351 3500 or [email protected].

Relying on memory, I believe that there is no problem converting an 8282 to an 8200. The 8282 used one more DSP board, which can be removed. But contact Marty for the details.
