Some 70's Columbus jingles that I'm looking for.

Greetings to you all.

My name is Sam, and I lived in Columbus from 1972 to 1987. Now I am living just outside Toronto Ontario Canada. I was born in the Boston area, and spent the first eighteen years of my life living in New England. However, without a doubt, I can say that Columbus is the most friendly city I have ever lived in, and I have many wonderful memories of Columbus, particularly Columbus radio.

There are a few seventies jingle packages I would like if anyone on this forum has any of these items.

A TM composite of Fun Country and another package for WBNS from around 1972 or '73 when they were doing the oldies or saddle shoe radio format.
Pepper-Tanners Reaching Out, Touching You package from 1971 for WNCI
Century 21 In These Changing Times package for WNCI
TM Where Your Friends Are and Image '73 for WTVN.
PAMS 1975 composite of series 31, 42 and 44 for WRFD from when Bob James was the Program Director.

If anyone has any of these jingle packages, please get in touch with me, and we may be able to work out a trade.

Hi Sam. Have nothing to trade but do you have Follow the Leaders that WTVN used in late 76 through early 78 when they switched to someplace special ? Hopefully with jock jingles?

Hi there delgriffith

I do have that TM package for WTVN from 1976, but unfortunately I don't have access to it right now. Currently I am living in a single room in a boarding house, and all my reels of tape are with a former room mate who is a good forty miles away. I've kept telling him that I would really like to digitize these tapes before they deteriorate, but he is so busy with so many other projects that he just hasn't been able to make the time to help me with this project. Hopefully one day I will be able to digitize some of my jingle packages because there are others that I would like to give some of my jingle and aircheck material to as well. Thanks for asking about this

Sam

I don't have any tapes for you... but I do have a very strong memory from WTVN in 1976, when we lived in Columbus. That was the bicentennial year, and WTVN had a jingle they played often, and I still hum it: "The spirit of Ohio is the spirit of America, let 610 radio bring to you this heritage -- 610, WTVN." Don't know if that's part of the package you're referencing, but it is still memorable 44 years later!
